Adaptive gain

Auto mode is designed to reduce clipping through sharp volume changes. Dynamic mode evens out quieter indoor speech.

Choose Regular, Rich, or Bright from the receiver or DJI Mimo, then set Basic or Strong noise cancellation for the location.

Dual-file recording keeps the original internal track beside a second file with the selected processing applied.

32-bit float is the safety net, not the mixing plan.

It gives post-production more room when a whisper becomes a shout. Monitor placement, wind, clothing contact, and the camera input level first; use the internal file when the camera track needs recovery.

Which configuration should I choose?

Choose 1 TX + 1 RX for a solo presenter or one interview subject. Choose 2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case for two voices, faster storage and pairing, and up to 28 hours of total operating time under DJI's test conditions.

Can the transmitter connect without the receiver?

Yes. A transmitter can connect directly to a compatible phone over Bluetooth or to supported DJI cameras through OsmoAudio. Device support and the number of simultaneous transmitters vary by camera.

Does Mic 3 record internally?

Yes. The transmitter supports 32-bit float internal recording and can save both an original file and an algorithm-enhanced file for a safer post-production handoff.

Can it handle more than two people?

A Mic 3 receiver can link with up to four transmitters, and a transmitter can link with up to eight receivers. Additional transmitters and receivers are required, and four-channel output depends on supported hardware or software.

Does it support timecode?

Yes. Transmitters embed timecode into internal recordings, while the receiver supports timecode input and output for synchronizing multi-camera production.

Are older DJI Mic components interchangeable?

No. Mic 3 transmitters, receivers, mobile adapters, and charging case are not interchangeable with the first DJI Mic, Mic 2, or Mic Mini systems.
