The bare camera is rated to 20 m. Use the 60 m case for deeper or sustained underwater work, inspect every seal, and add anti-fog inserts.

The battery operates down to -20° C. Keep spares warm, lock exposure before a run, and use the Adventure case as the charging base between sessions.
Street
The optional grip and Utility Frame make Action 6 easier to hold like a compact camera. Macro adds manual focus from 11 to 75 cm.

Choose the standard 155° lens, the 182° FOV Boost Lens, or a closer stabilized crop around how much speed and body movement the frame should communicate.

Why is the sensor square?
The 3840×3840 4K Custom mode preserves equal vertical and horizontal room. One take can be reframed for 16:9, 9:16, or 1:1 delivery without choosing the final orientation at capture.
What does the variable aperture change?
The lens moves from f/2.0 to f/4.0. f/2.0 gathers more light; smaller apertures can extend close focus and create a starburst around point lights. Available aperture behavior depends on the mode and attached lens.
Can it record 4K/120 vertically?
Yes. Action 6 supports 4K in 4:3, 16:9, and 9:16 at up to 120 fps. 4K Custom square capture reaches 60 fps.
How waterproof is the camera?
The camera body is rated to 20 m with the battery door and USB-C door closed and the glass lens cover tightened. The optional Waterproof Case extends the rating to 60 m.
Does it need a memory card?
No. It has 64 GB built in with 50 GB usable. A compatible microSD card can expand storage by up to 1 TB.
How long does one battery last?
DJI rates up to 240 minutes while recording 1080p/24 with specific settings, screens off, and Wi-Fi off at 25° C. Resolution, frame rate, screens, wireless features, temperature, and stabilization change real runtime.
Which microphones connect without a receiver?
OsmoAudio supports direct connection with compatible DJI transmitters and can accept up to two supported transmitters. The first-generation DJI Mic is not supported for direct connection.
Does HorizonSteady work in 4K?
Yes, up to 4K/60 in supported 16:9 and 4K Custom settings. HorizonSteady and HorizonBalancing are not available in every resolution, frame rate, or capture mode.
What changes with the FOV Boost Lens?
It expands the maximum optical view to 182°, is detected automatically, and supports most standard modes. It is waterproof to 5 m when correctly installed, is not intended for diving, and does not support Slow Motion.
Can the Macro Lens be used underwater?
No. It is splash-resistant only and requires manual focus. Use the Mimo focus-peaking view and rotate the ring to focus between 11 and 75 cm.
