XAG P150 Max comes to Canada
The XAG P150 Max agricultural drone is now available in Canada through SkyFlow Robotics, XAG's distributor in Canada. It sprays, spreads, maps fields and moves material on the farm, with task systems that swap in minutes. SkyFlow sells it with training, parts and service, and runs its own drone spray operation in Ontario.
XAG launched the P150 Max in the U.S. in February 2026 at the Spray Drone End User Conference in Kansas City. This is the Canadian version of that story, with what changes for farms here.
Why it matters for Canadian farms
Spray windows in Canada are short, and finding operators for peak weeks is hard. The P150 Max is built to cover more ground per person:
- 80 kg payload and flight speeds up to 20 m/s.
- XAG reports 20–24 ha (50–60 acres) per hour in typical spraying, and up to 28–32 ha (70–80 acres) per hour at peak.
- One operator can fly two drones at once in swarm mode.
- One airframe handles spraying, spreading, mapping and transport, so one purchase covers several seasonal jobs.
Proven in the field
XAG says its P Series drones have logged more than 9.3 million flight hours since 2022. Before launch, the P150 Max was tested in New Zealand, Bulgaria, South Africa and Australia, across varied crops and terrain.

Spraying: RevoSpray 5
- 80 L tank with dual impeller pumps.
- 32 L/min standard, or 46 L/min with the optional four-nozzle kit.
- Centrifugal nozzles with droplet size adjustable from 60 to 500 μm.
- 5–10 m effective spray width.

Spreading: RevoCast 5
The RevoCast 5 spreader carries a 115 L container and spreads up to 300 kg/min of dry material from 1 to 10 mm, such as seed and granular fertilizer. XAG's vertical broadcast design is meant to reduce wind drift.

Mapping, transport and safety
- RealTerra maps up to 20 ha per flight, and onboard AI finds field boundaries and plans routes.
- RevoSling lifts inputs, produce and seedling trays across the farm.
- RTK positioning holds ±10 cm. The XRTK 7 mobile station covers fields with no cell signal.
- 4D imaging radar senses obstacles such as centre pivots and power lines from 1.5 to 100 m.
- The airframe is rated IPX6K for washing down after a spray day.
- Missions run from the XAG One app or the SRC 5 remote controller.
Fast battery turnaround
The B141050 Smart SuperCharge battery recharges in about seven minutes with two parallel chargers and a mist cooling tower, according to XAG. A two-battery rotation keeps the drone flying while the next pack charges.

Transport Canada rules for the P150 Max
Under the drone rules in force since November 4, 2025, Transport Canada sorts drones by weight. Drones over 25 kg and up to 150 kg are medium drones. Drones over 150 kg are large and need Transport Canada's permission for each type of operation.
The P150 Max has a published maximum takeoff weight of 136 kg spraying and 140 kg spreading. That puts it in the medium class, inside the regular rules rather than the special-permission category. In practice:
- The drone must be registered with Transport Canada and marked with its registration number, like every drone of 250 g or more.
- The pilot needs an Advanced certificate (or Level 1 Complex for beyond visual line-of-sight). Medium drones can't be flown with a Basic certificate.
- For most advanced operations, the drone must meet Transport Canada's RPAS Safety Assurance (Standard 922) for that specific operation, as declared by the manufacturer.
- Spraying also needs a pesticide whose Canadian label allows drone (RPAS) application, and any provincial applicator licence.
SkyFlow helps each buyer check the certificate, registration and operation type they need before the first flight.
How it compares
Published specs for the P150 Max and the two DJI Agras models most often sold in Canada. SkyFlow is also an authorized DJI reseller, so we can help you choose between them.

|---|---|---|---|
| Max takeoff weight | 136 kg spray, 140 kg spread | 175 kg spray or spread | 102–130 kg spray, 126–130 kg spread |

Where the P150 Max stands out:
- It stays in the medium class. At 136–140 kg, it flies under the regular Advanced rules. The T100's 175 kg takeoff weight puts it in the large class, which needs special Transport Canada permission.
- Higher spray flow than both DJI models on the published figures: 46 L/min with the four-nozzle kit.
- Fast granular work, with a spread rate of up to 300 kg/min.
- Swarm mode lets one pilot run two drones.
- Mapping and lifting come from the same airframe with RealTerra and RevoSling.
The T100 carries more per flight and sprays wider. Which drone fits depends on your acres, crop, refill distance and how your crew works. Specs are system limits from each maker, not job guarantees.
What the media said
- DroneDJ called the P150 Max "among the most productive agricultural drones currently available," adding that its swarm control "can make the difference between finishing on time, or not." (DroneDJ, Feb 5, 2026)
- iGrow News wrote that the P150 Max "is designed to improve spraying, spreading, mapping, and logistics efficiency under labor-constrained conditions," with task systems that "can be changed within minutes." (iGrow News, Feb 5, 2026)
- Far Eastern Agriculture described it as "purpose-built for real-world farming" at its Agritechnica 2025 showing. (Far Eastern Agriculture, Nov 12, 2025)

FAQ
Is the XAG P150 Max available in Canada?
Yes. SkyFlow, XAG's distributor in Canada, sells the P150 Max with training, parts and service. Request a quote or book a demo to get started.
Which drone pilot certificate do I need for the P150 Max?
The P150 Max is a medium drone (over 25 kg) under Transport Canada rules, so you need at least an Advanced pilot certificate. Beyond visual line-of-sight flights need Level 1 Complex.
Can one P150 Max spray and spread?
Yes. The airframe takes RevoSpray 5 for liquids and RevoCast 5 for dry material, and the systems swap in minutes. We confirm which modules come in your package.
How many acres can the P150 Max spray in an hour?
XAG reports 20–24 ha (50–60 acres) per hour in typical conditions and up to 28–32 ha (70–80 acres) at peak. Actual output depends on rate, crop, weather, field shape and refill distance.
